warning

Warning: beware of organizations or individuals who believe that fighting poverty includes “population control.” They think, wrongly, that if there were LESS people, there would be MORE food & other resources available for people. They are WRONG. With more people, we have more individuals to help create & sustain infrastructures that can & will alleviate poverty, assist the disabled & elderly, & create good communities. Those in favor of so-called “population control” usually also support abortion & maybe even assisted suicide or other forms of euthanasia . It’s a slippery slope that is the EXACT OPPOSITE of God’s intention for the world.

8/20/14 re "50 YEARS into the WAR ON POVERTY" conference, LA science cen...

Gray Davis (former California governor) was the first speaker at the War on Poverty Conference at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. It was a jam-packed day, with numerous speakers from various agencies . Also speaking was Connie Rice, cousin of Condoleeza Rice. Connie, however, is on the other side of the fence, politically speaking, than Condoleeza. She is very liberal & democrat; and she is very feisty, albeit she acknolwedges she had to stop fighting so much (in court) and begin to work with the then-corrupt LAPD in order to make some progress with them. She made some good points albeit I think there may be some anger towards the male species in her, and maybe some other issues that she needs to work thru, including speaking a bit TOO long ...the MC Carl Morehouse eventually had to remind her it was time to wrap things up, but then she went on for another 15 or more minutes, knocking everybody off schedule. There's way too many names and organizations to mention in this small box, but I will try to link to their program later.
